A Space Held with Care
I’m Gabriela — MSc in Organizational Psychology B.A. in Psychology and Gender Studies from UC Berkeley, trained in MBSR and experienced in evidence‑based CBT.
After years devoted to my learning, working and my family I’m returning to the work that has always been at the centre of my life: accompanying people through difficulty and change with presence, gentleness, and without judgment.
What I offer
- CBT (short– to medium‑term): structured, goal‑focused therapy to change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
- MBSR‑informed mindfulness: present‑moment practice to reduce reactivity and build self‑compassion.
- Tailored one‑to‑one programs: combine skills and awareness to fit your needs.

What CBT Offers
Not a formula. Not just “thinking positive”. A practical framework for improved mental health.
Cognitive awareness
Identify the thoughts and behaviors shaping your mood and choices.
Adaptive thinking
Replace unhelpful certainties with realistic, flexible perspectives.
Behavioral change
Use behavioral tools and experiments to transform your reactions.
What MBSR Offers
Not a spa day. Not just “calming down”. A visceral return to the present moment.
Mindful acceptance
Cultivate curiosity toward experience to reduce self-criticism and reactivity.
Embodied presence
Anchor awareness in the present to stop worry and rumination.
Skillful responding
Choose responses to stress instead of reacting automatically.
CBT & MBSR
Two complementary paths to greater well being
The Interplay of Mind and Awareness
CBT and MBSR can work together to change both the validity of thought and your relationship to it. CBT teaches practical skills to identify, test, and revise unhelpful beliefs and behaviors; MBSR cultivates present‑moment awareness, self‑compassion, and reduced automatic reactivity.
Integrating mindfulness into CBT strengthens emotional regulation, improves attention to thought patterns, and makes cognitive change more sustainable.
What CBT and MBSR offer:
- Faster symptom relief and clearer problem-solving through focused cognitive work.
- Gentler emotional regulation and greater resilience via mindful, embodied practice and self-compassion.
- Easier transfer of skills into daily life: present-moment awareness helps you spot chances to apply CBT techniques without judgment.
- A flexible, personalized approach that blends skill training with compassionate awareness.
